Crazygood artists
My favorite artists…come and get 'em!

I’m not quite sure why Ms. Clarke’s animal paintings haunt me–color, composition, mysterious haunted feeling–but they do.

Love her use of glass, metal and wood in some of the most intimate mixed media artwork I’ve seen in awhile

Glorious watercolor-like abstracts that always fascinate me

Who’da thought PVC could be so gorgeous? She does some beautiful things with it, anyway. (And also has some cool lighting fixtures)

His glazes give subtle then stunning color to really sensuous seed and pollen shapes. Thanks to Flo Diebenkorn for this one.

Delicate, beautiful wood carvings from this potter-turned-naturalist woodcarver. Definitely worth a second look.

Transformative, evocative, uncomfortable sculpture. Huge, nothing precious about it, kind of like Audubon meets Edgar Allan Poe.

She focuses on birth, death, twinning and children, and uses everything from glass and ceramic to taxidermists’ leftovers.

Now THIS is my kinda sculpting –tech, art, beauty, grace, awesomeness– I’ve got a feeling this lady is a kindred spirit

Librarian+origami = some of the most original and beautiful paper sculpture I’ve ever seen. Totally mind blowing “tessellations” that I would really love to try sometime.

Often called “The Dot Queen” for her precision, this lampworking artist has expanded the definition of “glass bead.”

Just when I think blown glass is getting old, someone like Gordon comes along and proves me wrong…

Simply amazing work in polymer clay; I’ve been following her for years, and she just keeps getting better and better.

Inspired by her father, an ivory artist whose work she never saw, she creates sensual forms in tagua nut (vegetal ivory).

Lyrical, watercolor-like forms made with hair-like strands of glass–very pettable. Another glass artist whose work needs to be seen in person to appreciate.

Sculpting with waxed string, willow branches, bark–really beautiful.
